Trinity College, a research university in Dublin, was founded in 1592 by Queen Elizabeth I based on the universities of Oxford and Cambridge. Considered one of Europe's outstanding universities, Trinity College is also called Ireland's most prestigious university. Trinity College's library is the largest in Ireland. Although the school is best known for its achievements in law, literature, and the humanities, it also conducts large-scale research in the fields of nanotechnology, engineering, politics, psychology, and English. Admission and Application Requirements
For Undergraduate Departments:
- High school transcript and graduation certificate
- Your high school diploma grade must have a minimum GPA of 3.2/5.0 to 4.2/5.0 or 60%–70%
- Purpose/Motivation letter
- Exam result showing your international level of English - IELTS must have a minimum score of 6.5 (Exam result should not exceed 2 years) / TOEFL must have a minimum score of 86 (Minimum 20 points from each section, Exam result must not exceed 2 years)
For Graduate and Post Graduate Departments:

Accommodation
Trinity College Dublin offers accommodations in three locations throughout the city, all of which are either near the campus or are on campus itself. On-campus housing is located in either the historic buildings in the center of the campus or in more modern developments further east. At Trinity Hall, Dartry, the majority of the accommodation is in modern purpose-built blocks near Rathmines in Dublin 6 and is a short cycle or public transport journey from the campus. The last accommodation is Kavanagh Court in Dublin 1 which is less than a 15-minute walk from Trinity. This private accommodation is fully immersed in the Trinity community and offers the best available options for student accommodation in the city.
